Anambra state airport which began operations in the first week of December 2021, has so far recorded 142 flights and 3,865 passengers in little over a month. The Anambra Commissioner for Works, Marcel Ifejiofor, said this yesterday while speaking to newsmen.

Mr. Marcel Ifejiofor disclosing the challenges they have faced said that at the moment, just Air Peace and United Nigeria Airlines have been using the airport. He added that the numbers of flights could be better if more airlines use the airport for their operations.

He also added that now passengers can fly to Anambra State from any part of the country.

The managing director of the Anambra Airport Management Authority, Mr Martin Nwafor, speaking about the condition of the airport, said that they trained the staff of the airport to handle any problems that might come up while on duty.
