The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced the end of the suspension of Emirates airline flights to Nigeria effective from 1st March 2022.

The Director-General of Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Capt. Musa Nuhu made the announcement in a letter directed to the Director General of UAE General Civil Aviation Authority, Saif Mohammed Al Suwaid. The Federal Government also requested that they grant permission to Air Peace just as it ended the suspension of Emirates airline.
The suspension of flights from UAE was a retaliation act after the country suspended flights from Nigeria and 11 other African countries as a measure to prevent the spread of the Omicron variant in its country.
