The Former Governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has accused the former Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha of evading prosecution as he failed to appear before a court on Tuesday

The Big Picture. 
The former Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, who is facing a 17-count charge following his involvement in a fraud case of N2.9 billion fraud failed to appear before the Federal High Court in Abuja. While other suspects were in court for the trials, the former governor was absent and couldn’t be served his charges.

The presiding judge of the case Justice Inyang Ekwo following the absence of Rochas Okorocha has therefore adjourned the hearing till March 28. Rochas Okorocha, who is currently representing the Imo West District, recently declared his intention to run for presidency in the 2023 general elections.
