The Media and Publicity Secretary of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Emma Powerful, has released a statement on Tuesday debunking any claim of the group being responsible for the violence in the southeast.

In the statement Emma Powerful says that although the group is not happy with people who do not support their fight for an independent country, they would never express this displeasure violently.
He further explained that the course of both IPOB and ESN operatives is to free the Igbo from the claws of slavery. He also added that they should hold security agencies and their recruits in the southeast accountable for all sorts of violence rampaging the region.
