Dr Fabian Benjamin, the Head of the Public Affairs and Protocol for the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of results of candidates who took part in the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Although JAMB has not released the results on its official website, candidates can view their results through a SMS code, by sending “UTMERESULT” in one word to 55019.
What to know
- UTME is a yearly computer-based standardized examination for prospective undergraduates in Nigeria which tests problem solving, critical thinking, knowledge of scientific concepts and principles of specific subjects chosen by the candidates.
- Statistics show that for the 2022 edition of the examination 1, 837, 011 candidates registered across the country. The 2022 UTME began on the 6th of May 2022 and ends May 16th 2022.

Dr Fabian Benjamin advised candidates to be on guard against misleading attempts by fraudsters “on how to check their 2022 UTME results, as they are all products of deceit aimed at misleading them.” He added that the process of checking results is simple and can be completed by each candidate without external help.
