The Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai on Wednesday signed off a N18 million compensation fund to the families of the 9 persons killed in the Abuja-Kaduna train attack.

A statement released by the Executive Secretary of Kaduna State Emergency Management Agency (KADSEMA), Muhammed Mukaddas states that the 9 families who lost a family member in the terrorist attack would each receive a N2 million naira compensation.
- The 22 persons severely injured in the attack would also each receive a compensation of N250,000 from the Kaduna State government.

On the evening of March 28th, bandits attacked a passenger train carrying 362 people along the Abuja-Kaduna rail track. Reports say that in this attack, the terrorist abducted an unknown number of people while killing 9 passengers and causing severe damage to the train and rail tracks.
