The spokesperson for NDLEA, Femi Babafemi, said in a media briefing that the “super cop” as he is popularly called needs to answer questions over his role in a 25kg drug deal and his links to international drug cartels. He added that Abba Kyari, has been invited several times for interrogation but failed to show up. Femi Babatunde further explained that the agency’s decision to publicize Abba Kyari’s charges is because of his failure to honor their invitation.
This is coming amidst his alleged links to international fraudster Ramon Abbas, aka Hushpuppi and a pending indictment with the Federal Bureau of Investigation of the United States of America. Before Abba Kyari’s suspension by the Police Force, he was the officer-in-charge of the Inspector-General of Police Intelligence Response Team.
