The anti drug agency, NDLEA, has hit former deputy commissioner Abba Kyari and his Deputy Sunday Ubua with fresh allegations.

Current Situation
The new allegations against Abba Kyari and his accomplice, Sunday Ubua, claims that the duo received an alleged drug payment of N4.2bn in 2019.
NDLEA reported to the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, stating that Sunday Ubua received N2.664bn into his personal bank around the time Abba Kyari and his team seized drugs worth N3bn. Also, Abba Kyari received the sum N1.4bn in his time as commander of the Intelligence Response Team.

Abba Kyari and four others who are in the custody of the anti drug agency have pleaded not guilty to drug-related charges, extortion and misconduct. The Attorney General of Nigeria granted the US extradition request for Abba Kyari to be tried in the United States for fraud. The extradition court hearing begins on March 23rd.
