Nigeria’s First Lady Aisha Buhari has called for the capital punishment of Abdulmalik Tanko, the killer of 5-year-old student of Kids Academy, Hanifa Abubakar.

Reports say Mr. Abdulmalik Tanko kidnapped Hanifa Abubakar and had collected N100,000 as part of the of the N6 Million ransom he requested. He later killed her with rat poison and buried her parts in various parts of the school.
Following the death of Hanifa Abubakar, several civil rights groups, individuals and societies and even religious leaders have called for the capital punishment on Abdulmalik Tanko. Supporting this decision, Aisha Buhari shared a sermon by Abdallah Gadon Kaya, an Islamic scholar who said they must kill the killer.
Accompanied with the video, the First Lady wrote, referring to the video, that she supports the decision and that justice must be served.
