The National Organizing Secretary of the All-Progressive Congress (APC) Suleiman Argungu, on Monday announced Tuesday, May 24th, and Wednesday, May 25th for the presidential screening for the party’s 28 aspirants.
Driving the news
The candidates who pass the screening exercise would then proceed to the primary election to contest for the party’s presidential ticket. The primary is scheduled to take place at the end of the month in the country’s capital.
- The list of candidates to face the screening exercise are Vice President Yemi Osibanjo, former Lagos state Governor, Bola Tinubu; the former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi; former Minister of Niger Delta Development, Sen. Godswill Akpabio; Cross River State Governor, Prof. Ben Ayade; Ebonyi State Governor, Gov. Dave Umahi.
- Also on the list are Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi; Former Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba and former Senate President, Sen. Ken Nnamani; Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello; Jigawa State Governor, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar; Former Zamfara State Governor, Sen. Ahmed Yerima; former Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu; former Imo State governor, Sen. Rochas Okorocha and former Ogun state governor, Sen. Ibikunle Amosu.
