In an appeal to their Commandant General, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, members of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps with Higher National Diplomas have complained about 26 months of unpaid salary arrears.

The operatives made this request when they met the newsmen. They claim that although they were placed on level eight when the Federal Government ordered the elimination of the HND/BSC dichotomy, some persons were left behind and did not get the Level 8 income while others were paid right away.

It took 26 months for those left out to be rectified, which then resulted in the payment arrears. A plea to Commandant General of NSCDC to settle Unpaid backlog arrears of HND 2012 personnel,” one of them stated in a letter to newsmen.

“We affected employees from the 2012 HND intake are bringing our impassioned request to the Commandant General to use his respected office to pay our twenty-six (26) months past due arrears.

“Because when the HND/BSC dichotomy was removed, we were advanced to level eight (level 8), but during implementation, some employees were left behind and did not receive the level eight income for 26 months as their coworkers who were advanced to level eight on the same theoretical day.

“However, after the year 2016, none of the 2012 HND intake has received a promotion once more. We implore you to use your good office to hear our yearnings so they will be equality.” They wrote to the DG
