Governor Willie Obiano, whose governorship tenure expires on Thursday has called for support of the incoming governor, Charles Soludo.

Charles Soludo, the winner of the Anambra State gubernatorial election, begins his duties as the 6th executive governor of the state, tomorrow 17th March 2022.

Elected under the All-Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), the party continued its dominance in Anambra State. Charles Soludo, the former CBN Governor, defeated 17 other candidates to clinch first position with 180,178 votes in Anambra State gubernatorial election.

Soludo joins the other four governors of the southeastern states to resist the demand of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, for an independent nation. Also, the incoming governor faces the security challenge of killings and kidnappings caused by unknown gunmen in the past few months.
