President Muhammadu Buhari has on Wednesday announced the appointment of a management board to oversee the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited.

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina stated this in a statement while speaking to newsmen.
Mr Femi Adesina, speaking on the leadership, announced Margret Okadigbo as the chairman replacing Senator Ifeanyi Ararume. Other leadership positions are held by Mele Kyari as Chief Executive Officer and Umar Ajiya as Chief Financial Officer.
The board members are Dr Tajudeen Umar (North East), Lami Ahmed (North Central), Mohammed Lawal (North West), Henry Obih (South East), Constance Marshal (South-South), and Chief Pius Akinyelure (South West).
The appointees are to begin operations from the date of the incorporation of NNPC limited according to the statement.
