According to President Muhammadu Buhari, he is pressuring Service Chiefs to find a decisive solution to the nation’s lingering insecurity situation.
The President made this statement in response to the murder of the brother and kidnapping of the sister of former PDP National Chairman Adamu Muazu.
Why this matter
In a statement released by his Senior Special Assistant, Mallam Garba Shehu, Buhari also stated that the security of the nation is a constant worry for him and promised to do everything in his power to smash those he defined as the enemies of mankind.
“Security is my constant concern, and I have kept the service chiefs on their toes to ensure that they come up with a clear answer to eliminate this menace,” the President said.
The President responded to the terrible incident in Muazu’s family by saying, “I am startled and disturbed by the account of your brother being killed and your sister being kidnapped by bandits. This double tragedy is very heartbreaking. I am aware that the impact of this tragedy on your family is difficult to bear. I can relate to your suffering.
I want to take this chance to reassure you and other Nigerians who are currently threatened by the crimes of the bandits that I would do everything in my power to guarantee that these enemies of mankind are finally vanquished.
He prayed to God “to forgive the soul of the deceased and grant the family fortitude to overcome this double tragedy.”
