The former governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha has revealed after his closed-door meeting with President Buhari, the President resolved to take up his EFCC case.
Why it matters?
Shortly after the former governor of Imo state announced his interest in the 2023 presidential elections, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission served the governor with a 17-count fraud charge. The commission is investigating Rochas Okorocha for embezzlement of N2.4 billion following his relationship with some companies.
Following his closed-door meeting with President Buhari in the federal capital, the former governor revealed the President promised to take up his case with the EFCC. On declaring IPOB a terrorist group, Rochas Okorocha said it was a needless action. He thinks they can handle IPOB in a more effective manner.
