Thugs have set ablaze the secretariat of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Gombe State. They also vandalized the office of the former vice president, Atiku Abubakar.

Unknown men suspected to be political thugs started the fire, which broke out in the early hours of the day. Members of the fire service in partnership with the officials of the Nigerian Police Force swiftly dealt with the fire, which started at about 1:30am. While speaking to newsmen, the PDP Chairman, General Audu Kwaskebe (Rtd), accused the opposition party, APC, of the fire incident.
In related news, thugs vandalized and burnt the campaign office of the former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar. Eye witnesses said they saw them making away with AC, chairs and other office equipment. Responding to the allegations, Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Moses Kyari said the party played no part in the fire incident. He added that the Party’s secretariat was also affected.
