The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has rejected the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial ticket for 2023.

Announcing the rejection through the APC, Publicity Secretary in the state, Seye Oladejo, the party described PDP’s gubernatorial ticket as “worthless”. The statement praised Governor Sanwo-Olu for his remarkable performance in his first year in office while hinting that the party can ensure a re-election come 2023.
Highlighting the governor’s achievements, the ruling party listed the Governor’s swift handling of Covid-19 and the execution of his theme agendas as promised to Lagosians. The statement further urged the Lagos state governor to stay focused as he continues to serve Lagos State.
The statement ended with a strict warning to PDP to “house in order to have a semblance of relevance.”
