On Thursday 9th December, the United States Embassy in Nigeria confirmed the arrival of Covid-19 vaccines in Abuja.
The Big Picture.
As Nigeria continues to fight coronavirus, which plagued the world last year, vaccines have proven to boost the immune system to fight the virus. Although this vaccine does not completely provide immunity against the virus, it gives the immune system a higher chance of survival.
The Nigerian Embassy in Abuja received 2.5 million doses of the vaccine and have placed them in a cold room in a health facility as the authorities prepare to distribute them.
With more vaccines to be distributed, the Federal Government’s agenda of mass vaccination can be effectively carried out.
